Greetings,
I'm looking for a nice community to settle in East of Atlanta. I'd like to be relatively close to the city but prefer a more rural home. Personal privacy is very important to me. I will be working in or around Social Circle, so it needs to be a reasonable commute to and from there (30-40 minutes). Any suggestions?

Considerations: Singles, Arts, Music, Cultural / Lifestyle Diversity

I sincerely appreciate your recommendations!
Thanks.
K

For cultural activities and diversity I think Athens would be your best bet. Dacula is said to be very nice and might be another option--midway between Athens and Social Circle. I know there is a lot of traffic on 316/main route to Athens.

Athens might be more like an hour from Social Circle. It is pretty quiet in that general area. You might also research Madison, GA, one of the more picturesque Southern towns.

I promise you, you'll never be able to drive intown from Social Circle in less than 50 minutes with no traffic. Consider a less distant town like Lilburn or Dunwoody if you plan to commute to the city.
