Crooked Creek is nice in general, and very nice in parts. A bit cookie-cutter but many people like that. Very strong covenants which leads to decent resale and avoidance of certain issues. Amenities are impressive. We almost bought there years ago and visit occasionally as we have friends there).

What is bad is it IS a bit far off the beaten path. Almost Forsyth. Only thing reasonably close (and that's not even that close when you consider traffic) is the Windward corridor.

And as far as power lines go, avoid them like the plague (uh, they sort of ARE the plague, in a manner of speaking). But of course, you can be in CC and not be near power lines. I think.

And yes, traffic within the subdiv can get heavy. The place has over 500 homes, plus some Forsythians use it as a cut-through I think.
