Saw houses in Powder Springs and Douglasville area today, very nice but not familiar with the area. Any suggestions?

Hmmmm... we need more than a sentence.

What areas of these two places did you look at homes at? There are nice areas and bad areas in both places. Where will you be working, as commute times from either of these to other areas will vary widely. Price range? etc etc etc.

Why not find a home in Kennesaw or Marietta. Douglasville seems like a long commute, is there a reason you picked it.

If you're working in Kennesaw, there's no reason to go to Powder Springs or D-ville to live- you can find the same (or better) developments right in Kennesaw, or further north in Cherokee County. As Greg said, a little more info on what you're looking for would be helpful.

Even Cartersville (a few miles north of Kennesaw) might be an option if your budget doesn't allow for Kennesaw, Marietta, or Acworth. I hear the schools are pretty good and the cost of housing is less.

husband works from hartsfield airport. right now both commuting from Gainesville Ga,from mom's. The reason I liked powder springs and douglasville, is because seemed a fair commute for both, nice houses for the price. Just afraid that we are not familiar with the area. we are looking to invest no more than 160k. Thank you ALL for the quick response

There are some nice town homes in Kennesaw on Cobb parkway. Also lots developments along Hickory Grove in same area.

Once you are here, your main concern will be your commute. Believe me, you can go crazy with the traffice here, and the time you consume on the road can be unbelievable

thank you......the commute from the house I saw on powder springs was 25 for me and 25 for husband...so I thought it was an equal amount, plus the area seemed quiet, however you know how that can be.

If your husband works at the airport, he's not making it there from Powder Springs in 25 minutes- it might be 25 miles, but it'll be the better part of an hour.
