Could anyone recommend good neighbourhoods in Atlanta? We are relocating from London and looking for a house for a young family. My wife and I are in our 30's and black. Important things include good schools, community feel, close proximity to town/shops etc and security.. We have a budget of up to $500,000. Thanks

With that budget, you have a lot of options here. Where will you be working? Commute times are a big consideration in this town, along with schools, of course.
I'll put in a rec for my town, Decatur...it's about 6 miles from downtown, with great schools and neighborhoods.

I recommend you speak to George (above post) by pm, he has been helping me find a place despite the constant time frame changes taking place as the company develops, he listens well to your needs and has some good ideas, drives an invalid carriage though.
