Does anyone know how long it will take me to drive between Woodstock and Atlanta during rush hour? According to Google maps, it's about 50 minutes on the interstate to get to Emory University, but I have no idea what the real drive time will be during rush hour.

Depends on where in Woodstock you're starting- it could be 5-15 minutes (or more) just to get to the highway. Getting to Emory from there can either be 575 to 75 back up 85, or 575 to 75 to 285 to 400. In either case, during rush hour, you're looking at more like 1:15-1:30. I live in Holly Springs and work downtown just south of the 75/85 merge, and at 6am it takes me 40 minutes. If I go at 7 or 8, it could take just over an hour to as much as 1:30- depends on what the idiots are doing that day.

Is there an official web site or text messaging service that will give me traffic information that I can quote in an official way?

Georgia Navigator shows incidents when they occur, and shows the cameras along all the major highways. I don't think they predict travel times though.
