Tonight I have been noticing some odd behavior by APD in my neighborhood. I've seen two squad cars and one van. All three vehicles are painted solid black and have no visible police markings or lights on top of the vehicle. They do have lights on the dashboard however. In fact the only way I knew they were the police was that one of squad cars stopped at a retail building next to mine and checked a car in the parking lot out.

I live only few blocks north of Lenox and Phipps malls and this area has been hit hard by the smash and grab robberies. Given that, I can see why they would be driving unmarked cars but it still seems a little odd to me. Has anyone else heard about this.
