I just moved to Orlando and the difference in traffic is stunning. I have a 21 mile drive to work and it's taken me anywhere from 20 minutes to 35 minutes on each trip.

I've told my friends that the big thing is just how *consistent* the traffic is in Orlando compared to Atlanta. I used to have a 6.3 mile drive to work in Atlanta and it would take me anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Takes a lot of stress out of my life not dealing with that nonsense anymore.

To me, Atlanta is just way to overpopulated for its infrastructure. Things could've been a lot smoother had they done a smarter job of designing the roads, had a MARTA that reached much more locations, etc.

That probably has something to do with the fact that Orlando only has 1/3 the population of Metro Atlanta.

Back when Atlanta was that small, it was possible to walk across I-285 by Buford Highway.
