Looking for names of subdivisions in East Cobb and Roswell about $225,000 and under. Subdivisions closets to the perimeter/dowtown area would be ideal. Zipcodes would also be helpful...I am trying to search for homes, but it hard not knowing names of subdivisions or zipcodes.

By looking at the map it looks like the area of Wheeler HS is such an area?

TIA

There are a few older but still nice homes to be found in the older swim/tennis communities of East Cobb in the mid-to-upper $200s. Look in Willow Point, an older swim/tennis community, and Indian Hills Country Club at Fairfield Road off Lower Roswell. Maybe even in Princeton Walk or Princeton Lakes.

Seven Springs isn't swim/tennis, but it is an older subdivision in East Cobb across from Providence Square shopping that should be affordable. That would be a 30068 zip code -- and in the Eastside Elementary, Dickerson Middle and Walton High districts. I'll try to think of more.

Homes in that part of East Cobb (30067 I think, and definitely 30068) will have a Marietta, Georgia address but it's right next door to Sandy Springs, another area with nice older homes and well established neighborhoods (but far more expensive). Cobb County property taxes are lower.

is it still considered East Cobb with the zips of 30066 and 30062? some of those are in the Lassister and Pope school district that are very good too? There are alot of nice older homes in that price range I believe.

Thanks for the suggestion...keep them coming.

Any in Roswell? I looked at some of the ones in East Cobb, but maybe I can get more for my money in Roswell?

TIA

Check out Martins Landing in Roswell (30076) or Britton Woods, maybe Westchester and Barrington Farms in Roswell. All those should have something in the mid $200's. Older resales, but affordable.

One of my really good friends and his wife just bought a house in the Hedgerow subdivision in zip code 30075 (Roswell) which is actually in Cobb county. All the homes were built in the 80's but it seems like a nice neighborhood and I think the schools are pretty good....that is why they moved there, as they have a 1.5 year old. I think they paid around $350k for their home, but it was totally renovated. I seem to recall seeing some in the low 3's around there.

I haven't heard good things about the elementary that neighborhood goes to (we looked there until I researched schools more..plus many of the backyards are just trees with steep cliffs (unless you like that)

Hedgerow is a great neighborhood..my husbands co-worker used to live there and loved it!!

We are looking in the east cobb area as well as Alpharetta (hopefully Cobb co of Roswell..not interested in Roswell schools)

Good luck!!

But please keep in mind that Applejuice is looking for a house in East Cobb or Roswell priced, in her words:

"... about $225,000 and under"!

Part of Roswell is in Cobb County; the rest of it is in Fulton.
