My husband is being transferred to Atlanta. He will work 4 days per week. We have decided not to move there. It's about a 2 hour (150 miles) drive for him from our house. I've seen ads for crash pads and rooms for rent. He basically needs a room and a private bath. We are trying to stay under $500 a month. He can bring a bed, mini fridge, microwave, tv. Anything else we should be asking about? Any ideas of where he could stay on the 3 nights he would be there?

Your best bet for a room type situation is simply to check out
craigslist , as many people
who have rooms post there. Most of the other apartment location services are going to refer you to standard apartments that require full time leases, and folks can't advertise on here to list their places (it's against the terms of service).
