Since you are looking more for apartments, I would recommend some of the ones on Sugarloaf Parkway. They are very nice, but can be pretty pricey. Also, there are some on McGinnis Ferry which I believe would be in the Peachtree Ridge cluster, but I also know they're rather expensive. I have a friend renting a one bedroom there for $1050 a month. Just take a look at the neighborhood when you visit. I always pay attention to the cars parked there, it tells more about the people there than anything.

Apartments can really be hit or miss in GC- if you find a good deal its often too good to be true. One thing I have heard people doing calling the apartments and ask if they accept Section 8. If they do, you might want to stay away.

Well we are talking about lawrenceville here, apts around lawrenceville not the best ones around,i moved to lawrenceville about 4yrs ago and it has changed dramatically, our apartments were nice before but now not anymore i live around the discover mills area which is the main mall for the lawrenceville area,my apts are full of thugs, drug dealers etc. I am moving by the end of this year to north georgia which is still a nice place to live and quiet and rapidly growing,Gwinnett county has become a sanctuary for the Drug cartels this does not mean crime is high, but it will be very soon.

Hello. My fiance and I are thinking about moving from Long Island New York to Gwinnett County. I want to make sure that I move to a area that is descent for my 5 boys and my 2 girls. I'n New York I am so worried that my family is going to be harassed by police because of there nationality. People where I am from is so negative and I just want to leave all the drama behind. I don't want to move from one hood to another hood. This is my first time moving my children away from family. Does anyone know a town, county, state that is a good place to raise a family?

Here you go>>>>>>>

For Lawrenceville: Brookwood, Peachtree Ridge, Mountainview, Archer, Grayson, and Collins Hill areas are great.
The best area in the Gwinnett, however, is Suwanee - but not necesarilly the best school (N. Gwinnett - which however, is still one of the best schools). The best school is Brookwood, then Parkview, followed by (but necessarilly in this order) N. Gwinnett, Grayson, Norcross, Dacula, Mill Creek, Duluth, Collins Hill, Archer (new), Mountainview (new), Peachtree Ridge.
