Ugh... read this: Local pool might be hazardous to your health*| ajc.com

I mean I'm sure this happens throughout the country, but you don't usually take the time to think it's this bad. I hadn't swam in a public pool in years, but you even have to watch the kids in play fountains, too. I especially like the tips near the end where it tells people to, "avoid pools if you have diarrhea". Well gee -ya think??

Always best to avoid pools with fecal matter floating in it, nothing worse than headbutting a strangers breakfast when you dive in.

I think it's important to point out that these cases do not involve city pools, but rather hotel and neighborhood pools. I know city pools such as those in Roswell and Alpharetta are checked frequently during the day.
