Well, we are in our final stages of the apartment search.

Our original number 1 was Dunwoody Place... Missed out by a few hours on the apartment we really wanted. So now, we are looking at Option 2.

I am looking at the following:
Ashford Park (3 Bedroom)
Gables Metropolitan
Post Crossing
Alexander at Perimeter

I know we went through this before but reading all of the reviews I find online are scary... Real scary in some respects...

Ashford Park is where we are considering but I'm queasy about it.

post apts has paper thin walls and you will hear everything. They also jack up the rent by huge amounts on lease renewal.

I don't know much about the other places.

What do you mean by "real scary"? Anything besides car breakins? That area is usually very safe.

Well talk of general poor management and poor conditions... That sort of thing...

Car break-ins happen... I understand that...

It's just worrisome... It's an investment of time and $$... I want to be happy.

Usually the people complaining about the management are lying. They get hit with late fees or have a car towed, or docked their security deposit and they run to the internet to get revenge.

These are multi-million dollar complexs and the owners are not going to put rude idiots in charge.

For example, I live in a luxury high rise in fla. Some girl had her car towed and had to pay 250 dollars. She has been flooding apartmentratings with false posts that border on psychotic. She warns people of the constant construction noise...they finished construction a year ago as I replied. So she created a new thread and repeated the same lies. She said that parking is unsafe and homeless people hangout nearby. I have never seen a homeless person there and in fact, there are several cops who live in my building and they constantly patrol the area and chase off anybody who is on either private or state property which is marked "no trespassing." And the parking is not dangerous. And there was a fire in one unit, so she posted a picture of the apt on fire in her review.

I would address your concerns with the management and get some type of agreement with them. Get a 6 month lease. Find out if the district manager is available for complaints. Also, post offers a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so you might ask if they would match that.

Gables looks very nice and is probably a 10 million dollar investment...they are not going to have rude people or idiots working there.

Depends on the complex. I currently live in a post apartment in Buckhead and we never hear the people next door.

I also lived in a post apartment in Orlando and didn't hear the neighbors (the people in the apt above is a different story, but thats typical everywhere)
