I just looked at the website for Lifetime Fitness (Mountainbrook is 92 location). It seems like they have several locations in the Atlanta suburbs and I noticed they are offering a free 7 day pass. Just FYI. I did see water aerobics classes on the site.

Check out Athletic Club Northeast (located inside the Perimeter).

The best thing about this post is that--not only are you guys the nicest--but looks like it won't be too hard to find what I'm looking for in one of the suburbs of Atlanta.

If you can't stand on the water, it's warm enough to swim in!

Okay, I'm kidding, but Labor Day does seem like a little early to shut things down, at least to me. It's common, though. Our HOA extended it a couple of weeks beyond that this year, which was nice.

Dear RainyRainyDay,

Not sure if you're still monitoring this discussion since it's been about 16 months, but when I saw your comment about how Cobb County has no decent public pool facilities, my jaw dropped. The Cobb Aquatic Center on Fairground (next to the Cobb County Civic Center) is a wonderful facility that's been around a looooong time. 10 lanes, Olympic size, very well maintained, and cheap. A 10-visit card will run you about $26, and a monthly membership less than that. Last I checked, a yearly membership was around $200 (more for a family, no doubt...). In the 7-8 years I've been going, I may have had to share a lane with someone 1-2 times. Usually only half the lanes even have one swimmer. And lots of classes in the separate diving pool. Check it out. 770-528-8465.
