If you MUST know, I like MF Sushi in Midtown. I'm sure that's not sophisticated enough for you, though.
that was listed is what I meant, not you. Sorry for the mistaken identity.

Yakitori is just grilled meat on a stick. The way they prepare it at Hashiguchi is exactly like how they prepare it in Japan. I should know since I'm half Japanese and have to Japan several times.

The yakitori you are probably used to is the kind dressed up with different sauces to make hipsters feel cultured...when in reality you are eating the Japanese equivelant of a hot dog.
LOL..... Korean Hot Dog !!

Hashiguchi is good

Oh no, please tell us how it is "up north". We never get to travel here in the South.

Yours is a common misconception of Atlanta. People move here and judge the city by the suburb they're living in, and it's just a little unfair. The established feel you're talking about is found ALL OVER the city of Atlanta, but I can't speak for your suburb...I live in the city, and if you would look in some of the 100+ year-old neighborhoods you might find it.

It's not a contest, but if you make controversial statements on city-data you can expect a response - every time.

Good for you!

I'm not going to get into a discussion about who is right how it tastes. That's a personal thing, and if you don't like it then that's your prerogative.

The problem is that you said you can't get yakitori in the city proper or even take a train and walk to it.

I proved that wrong so all you have to do is say "Ok, you can get yakitori in the city, and yes, it's in a walkable place accessible by train. I just don't like it."

why do all the thread with Atlanta always end up in **** fights?

I wonder if it's because just as many that love the city, there are just as many who don't think as highly of it. Seems to be the case with Atlanta and Houston more then any other city.

No, it's because people are hellbent on making claims about our city that aren't true. It's called "civic pride".

I'm no position to call you a liar, but in an earlier thread you said you lived 2 blocks from 10th street and Piedmont. Given that the Midtown station is 3 blocks from that location, you're max walk is 5 blocks. But even if it is an 8 block walk that's hardly a long distance.

Maybe it should. It's because people assume this place is some sort of backwards country hick place just because it doesn't look like or is laid out like other cities. We tend to take offense to that.
