Those two areas have are very different styles...I like L5P better, but IMO West Midtown has better architecture.

Same here. I like the architecture of L5P because it's so colorful and artistic.

'L5P' is actually a relatively small shopping area, flanked by Candler Park and Inman Park. I don't really find anything remarkable about the actual architecture there, save for a little building here and there (ie the old C&S Building, now the Star Bar). Most of what makes the buildings interesting is the over-the-top decoration. IMO the most interesting building in L5P is the old mansion that housed The Wrecking Bar.
The Westside is OK if you're a fan of the 'industrial' look. I do love that old White Provisions building, though.

I love that Mansion building on Moreland in L5P...I wonder If any of the larger restaurant groups would maybe restore that building into a restaurant/bar in the mold of Parish in Inman Park maybe?

I definitely agree...there is more of architectural significance in West Midtown than in L5P, but L5P has the edge on color and excitement and has an occasional gem.

What an intriguing idea, AF...would definitely like to see some 'adaptive reuse' to that house before it's forgotten. Anyone know its' history?

I agree with whats already been said. The Westside doesn't really have a center and L5 is just that - a little neighborhood center. I do love the industrial feel of the Westide though.

Heres some more pics
