The only reason they changed it b4 was because of Buckhead, they hurt the whole city because of what was happening in Buckhead. Now that the clubs are gone in Buckhead, bring it back!

That and to try and get clubs to move to Underground by offering later closing times.............. Fail.

I'm not too sure if Virginia-Highland would go for it.

I also agree the later hours need to be revisited. There are certain industrial corridors (Westside, Armour Circle, areas adjacent to Cheshire Bridge Rd., etc) that I think would be perfect for 4:00am, or even 24 hour pouring licenses.

As others have mentioned, we really need to protect our investment as a top 5 convention city. Our main competition is Chicago, Las Vegas, New Orleans & Orlando.

Doesn't Castleberry have a midnight noise ordinance for clubs/bars?

The bars and clubs at Underground have last call at 4am already. I agree that all the neighborhoods like downtown castleberry and west midtown westside would go for it
...midtown and vahi may be shaky now because of the residential component and peachtree but I could see them eventually supporting it once the business community gets behind it.

Somewhere in Atlanta needs to have a 24/7 pouring area to be considered a 'full city' many people from out of town thinks Atlanta closes down too early.

I agree that Atlanta should go back to the more liberal rules that were in place a few years ago...but let's keep this in perspective. Most cities have last call at 2 am or even earlier - Boston is 1 am. Someone already mentioned the little handful of cities that have 24 liquor licenses, but the rest of American cities are more conservative than Atlanta.
