Hello everyone,

I'm a 24-year-old woman who is looking to survey the Atlanta metro area soon, (approximately a one-month survey) to get a feel for the area, as I'm seriously considering a move there. Why? Well, for cultural, academic, and professional reasons. So wherever shall I go?

I'm the Charis Books type (feminist), occasional yogini, semi-organic, arts lover, esp. black or otherwise ethnic arts. Ease of access (relatively easy commutes) to major universities would be great...GSU, Emory, Clark Atlanta, Spelman, etc.

Budget: Well, I'm looking to rent something small...a stylish studio apt. perhaps. Maybe even a small 1 BR. So whatever the going price is, I suppose that's my budget. I'll simply adjust accordingly.

House/condo/townhome: 1 BR condo, if a condo at all

Children: Child-free! But, as I'm a teacher, good public school districts are important still.

Suburban/urban/mix: Urban-ish, but I'll certainly consider a mix.

Easy access to public transit important or not: Not important; own vehicle.

Preferable demographics of desired neighborhood: Young professionals/professionals, diverse, artists or art patrons, cultured, "tolerant," LGBT-friendly, liberal

Work location: Unemployed, but looking for work during this "surveying" month. Will return to my own condo if I don't find anything. Ha! Teaching or nonprofit employment, preferably.

Airport access important or not: Not important at all.

Also, can anyone tell me anything about the following apt. complexes or the areas in which they're located? Thanks!

I'm going for a similar style of living, but am not "sold" on any particular property yet. I appreciate your help!
