Newton least favorite; Nice but to far from everything. You have to drive to Conyers or Lithonia.
Stonecrest Mall is only 15-20 minutes from my house and I live in Newton Co. and Conyers is only 10 miles, and you consider that to far from everything, we've added almost 50,000 people this past decade and they didn't think it was to far or else they wouldn't have moved here, but I do agree in certain aspects with what you say, our estimated population is 101,000 and we only have two casual chain restaurants Longhorn's and Applebee's we have several mom and pop restaurants but that's not my thing.

I meant kinda far from downtown and midtown Atlanta. I said Newton was nice. My aunt lives in Covington. There isn't much retail/restaurants in Covington. You have to drive to Conyers or to the Stonecrest area in Lithonia. Newton is less built up than some suburban counties in Augusta. Columbia 115,000 and Aiken 155,000 in population.

Since my wife and I live, work, and do almost everything else in Cobb, I would have to say Cobb is my favorite.

Don't know enough in five years about other counties in the metro to formulate a strong opinion.

I think Clayton has many nice, beautiful parts...

In particular:

Lake Spivey Area
Historic Jonesboro
Rex Mill Area (exquisite!)
The Southern Panhandle
The Campus of Clayton State University
