Haha, I don't know if if topped the peach drop, as I was not in Duluth. I somehow doubt that. But this was their surprise....

I've never done the Peach Drop, so I can't compare. And frankly, once you've done Time Square, nothing compares.

The Duluth festivities were, well, a suburban New Year's celebration, with folk versions of rap songs. Considering how family friendly it was, it was kinda funny singing along with some not-so-child-friendly lyrics. But yes, it was like a giant disco ball with wings, everyone had a clear view, there were fireworks, and typical festival food. If you don't have kids or live in the burbs, there's no reason at all to bother with this.

Dammit, I still had fun. I used to be young and hip once. sigh
