My wife and I were down in Atlanta over the Christmas holiday and drove to quite a few different areas. We were as far north as Woodstock and as far south as Jonesboro. We found that the new developments on the north side were nice and big but the homes were too close together and the back yard space was mininal. We visited Ryland, DR Horton, Manor homes and Crown Communities. We did like the DR Horton community of Palisades in Dallas. We also liked Wintercreek in McDonough. We also liked the Crown Communities in McDonough. They seem to give you some good standards that some builders consider upgrades like granite countertops, tiled backsplash, extended crown molding and beed board molding in living, dining rooms. Also the lots were level and quite spacious. My big problem is that I cant seem to find much information on this builder. I see old threads that dont give much insight. Just wondering if anyone has recent information the following Crown Communities: Hamilton Springs, Holly Ridge and Lakemont.

Thanks for any help.

Hello. I have inspected homes by each of these builders, however, I am most familiar with Ryland & DR Horton homes and communities. All likely produce a comparable quality product. Ryland and DR Horton have been responsive in taking care of the inspection lists and are still kicking. Keep researching to make sure you are buying into a solid community.

Default Crown Communities Augusta

Same builder Crown Communities, but in the Augusta Georgia area. Don't know if it helps but you might find some interesting reading here

Seems someone is telling it like it is. I'm ready to build a home in Augusta but I'm not sure where yet. You can't beat the cost of living in this town.
