It has a Norcross address, however, it is a very nice community with large brick homes, and very good schools. That area is only in the 30092 zip code. In addition to that, you might want to check the Parkview school cluster of Lilburn, also, very close to Norcross. Those are all in the Gwinnett area. Check out Peachtree Corners (the Norcross Schools cluster), Duluth (the Duluth and Peachtree Ridge Schools clusters), and Lilburn (the Parkview Schools Cluster). In addition to the areas above, you should look in these areas that are very close to Norcross--eastern Roswell (Schools in the Centennial High area) and southern Johns Creek (Schools in the Johns Creek High area). Both areas border (to the west and north) Norcross/Peachtree Corners. Check out the Fulton County Schools link below to check out the schools in each of the areas/clusters--includes more maps:

*Scroll down to where it says "2009-2010 School Year High School Zones." Choose "Centennial" and "Johns Creek." The maps will show you the general areas. You will also be able to see which elementary and middle schools are in each zone. (You can then go back to the main screen and choose individual maps for the elementary and middle schools that you desire.). I also recommend scrolling down and looking at the "Large Area" Maps for North Fulton and Sandy Springs.

Thanks, aries. I guess I should have been more clear. I'm curious about travel times from Lawrenceville to Norcross. It seems like even what looks a short distance on maps (less than 15 miles) can take ages in ATL traffic according to some natives I'm talking to.
I've heard of Johns Creek before. Thanks for the links on that and the others. Checking them out now!

Other posters can chime in, however, if you'll be going to Norcross three nights per week, I personally wouldn't recommend living in Lawrenceville.

Definitely Peachtree Corners/Norcross, Duluth, Berkeley Lake, Lilburn/Parkview, Roswell, or Johns Creek. Oh...and in these areas, you'll have no problem finding a vibrant Catholic church nearby. And...you'll find plenty of options in your price range (and meet your other criteria).

I live in Lawrenceville, and I also would not recommend trying to do that commuting three nights a week. Most days you could do it in 20-25 minutes, however, if there is something going on, near the holidays, sometimes just weekend traffic, it can take much longer. However, I love Lawrenceville, and if you are dead set on it, then come on! I live in the Brookwood cluster of Lawrenceville, and really love it. There are great schools, and it would probably be the closest to Norcross. However, also close would be the Peachtree Ridge and Collins Hill school districts for Lawrenceville. However, with both of those, you would need to take 85, or 316. From my house to get to Norcross, I take Ronald Reagan Pkwy, to 29, to Beaver Ruin. It's a preference is all!

Also, Aries was bang on with North Fulton. However, sometimes it gets hard to cross the river into Gwinnett. There are just a few crossings.

Thanks, everyone for the location advice. We're going to put these areas on our "look-at" list when we visit in a couple of weeks. I'd also like to see Suwanee, but I'm getting the impression that might be REALLY a pain with traffic, now. No fun.
We'll only be able to attend mass at one church while we're there this trip (obviously), any suggestions on where to start? Maybe in St. Brigid in John's Creek or St. Monica in Duluth?
