Great. You are less than a mile from Cresent Street. Just go north on Peachtree. Grab breakfast or lunch at the Vortex, then up to Cresent Street for a little more action. I'm sure you'll find some good times up there. Have fun!

That's a good location as your equidistant basically to the main part of Midtown and the main part of Downtown and close to Poncey Highland/Virginia Higlands so not bad at all my man. Shoot us your date details so we can point you in the right direction on some stuff going on around the time your coming through.

BizChick: As long as it's a short cab ride to where we need to be i'm good. Nothing can be as bad as Toronto last year (Staying with family) was like 35 minutes in the car to Downtown (Draining)

Sounds like a plan Archan. We are there for 14 days so will check out Vortex to eat.

Actually, you guys might be able to help. I'm trying to find out some info on any concerts that might be on? if any. Do you know if there is anything going on between 19th May - 2nd June?

The weather is going to be really nice around that time so you probably could even walk to soak up the atmosphere of Peachtree nightly grab something to eat and hit the scene.

The flat rate for taxis in that area is only $8 anywhere in Midtown so it's going to be cheap for you guys. Or you could always catch Marta one stop up from The North Avenue Station MARTA - Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority where I'm assuming your close to since your by the Fox Theatre.

Book a room at the Highland Inn. It's located in the center of all of the cool neighborhoods where young people live and the nightlife is concentrated. In fact there's a lounge that occasionally hosts live music and other times DJs right below the hotel. Plus the rooms are offered at a very reasonable rate.

They push this aganeda every chance they get, and in this thread it was especially noticeable. These people are reluctant to even admit that atlanta could be known for its korean population, or that the city can be viewed for its other cultural associations besides black culture, and dont want to accept that many people do not associate Atlanta with the "blackness". That is why there was no mention of other cultures that have a growing foothold in the city before my post.
LOL! Given the fact that I love grabbing a beer in the Highlands, getting Korean BBQ on Buford Highway, and dating women of all backgrounds has led me to ignore the fact that I'm forgetting my responsibilities as a black man to push my agenda!

Please, suh, don't tell ol' Rev. Al Sharpton or the Minister Louis Farrakhan on me!

Well said... I am now in greater Nashville and it's hard to explain to folks just how diverse Atlanta really is.
