I have a previous thread about moving to Kennesaw (or another town in that area) from Massachusetts. I just have some specific questions that I'm hoping to get some help with - stuff I won't find on the Chamber of Commerce website

What's the cheapest grocery store?

How can I find a good (and not wildly expensive) hairdresser/colorist?

How about a good vet? and a good, reputable kennel to occasionally board our dog?

Reputable auto mechanics? (for maintenance/oil changes, etc)

Best shopping in terms of choice and affordability, for clothing, housewares, etc? (I love discount stores!)

Also, is there any directory of volunteer programs in the area?

Thanks!!

What's the cheapest grocery store? Ingles, Publix and Kroger all have their bargains- I wouldn't say one is cheaper than all of the others consistently. Some people swear by Aldi, but their selection isn't as good.

How can I find a good (and not wildly expensive) hairdresser/colorist? "Kennesaw" covers a large area. There are probably dozens of potential answers to this question. You're likely to just have to look around when you hone in on a location. Kudzu.com is a local services directory that might be a good place to start.

Best shopping in terms of choice and affordability, for clothing, housewares, etc? (I love discount stores!) There's tons of shopping on Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw- any store you can think of that has a presence in the Atlanta market is likely to be found there.

Also, is there any directory of volunteer programs in the area? Don't really have an answer for that one.

Thanks!!
