Atlanta Falcons TV ratings soaring - Atlanta Business Chronicle:

Falcons game TV ratings spiked 57 percent since 2007, the largest increase among any other NFL team. Atlanta is also up 7 percent in ratings from 2008’s 11-5 campaign.

It's good to know that Atlantans are really recognizing the good thing we have with the Falcons. This is a good team that caught some bad breaks this year and still came out 9-7. Oh well, hopefully next year will be the year.

So what!
What does that mean- 2 Monday Night games instead of one? They still have to sellout at home to be televised locally.

Arthur's best move was hiring Thomas Dimitroff.
Coaches come, coaches go- it's the nature of the business! Mike Smith means nothing.
What does make a difference is talent. And finding the right talents that can co-exist.
Let's face it- you can't win ball games with one player, and you can't win ball games if the talent can't play together.

So, until the Falcon organization can completely cleanse itself of the R. Smith stigma- they will continue to suck.

As long as they suck enough to win like they've been doing, it's all fine with me.

I still remember the playoff game at the Met in 1975. I hope the Cowboys are stomped, crushed, and then buried by Purple.

Current disappointing season not withstanding, some good gains were made, especially getting rid of that monkey of no two winning seasons in a row. At the least, the current ownership and coaching staff make me feel the franchise is in the healthiest position it has ever been.

Most prognosticators did predict a coming down from last years 11-5 season, seems they were right. Hopefully a good draft and offseason to better the team in key areas and we will see an improvement next year and a return to the playoffs.

I'm out here having to suffer amongst overzealous Cowboy fans. Come on Falcons, I'm here in TX pulling for you!

The reason was a great season last year primarily. That, and also the fact that since the Braves were terrible this past season, and the Hawks aren't stellar, Atlanta sports fans have to console in some team. And the Falcons at least have talent on their team.

Check again on the Hawks...they are certainly stellar this season (again). The Braves weren't great in the first part of the season, but came back and very nearly slid into the wild card spot...they were in contention for it up until the last couple of games of the season.
