I've been unemployed since September and I have yet to find a job. I have diversified my job search by not just applying for jobs online but also attempting to go to the companies I'm interested in working for only to be told to visit their website to complete an application, I've attended job fairs to no avail and I've attended a few networking events only to be told not to solicit individuals there inquiring about jobs. I don't know what to do anymore. Can someone provide me some positive feedback or direct me where someone is hiring.

Thanks much!

Are you living in DeKalb County--doesn't really matter---whichever county ---Go To the Nearest GA Dept of Labor and begin applying there.

Go Here>>>>
http://www.dol.state.ga.us/

I live near the North? DeKalb County GA Dept of Labor office/Toco Hill Shopping Center--if that helps.

Sarah, DM me if you want to discuss this further. The Toco Hill Alliance is a resource that might be able to assist you---haven't done a lot with them but I believe they might be a good resource. Located in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church on La Vista Rd/near Whole Foods.
This DeKalb County---but I believe they are supported by churches and civic groups in the neighboring vicinity--this area is also ---Unincorporated Atlanta---can't explain further--but I can find out. There are a number of such community groups---not that easy to find but I have done a bit of looking for jobs myself over the years and I think I can find some FYI if you want to share specifics.

hth

There are Job Search/Career Change groups that meet in different locations across metro Atlanta. I attended one at ???maybe--All Saints Catholic Church--it was in Dunwoody--those that led this group are determined to get job seekers employed---I can tell you that. It was an intense 4 hour seminar--held on a Sat AM---and they will follow up with you individually as much as you want. That might be a good way to get started?

Wow, your case seems minor. I've been unemployed for 2 years since graduation.

Actually, Business Management.

Is Architecture suffering as well?

I graduated in December 2007 and am still looking.

I'd consider relocation, but I'd need a job before I go to another city.
