Default the city of peachtree corners

I just found out today while talking to a metro atlantan visiting here in Savannah that Peachtree Corners is now offically a city.
I remember before moving from my home in peachtree corners that this was an idea that many residents wanted.
My question is what value would this have on a home in peachtree corners comparing its value say 1 year ago before it became a city?
Will the sale value of homes go up since it is no longer part of the city of Norcross?

Peachtree Corners was never a part of the City of Norcross.

The area just had a Norcross mailing address/zip code.

I think it is too soon to tell whether homes will have a bump in value although I don't expect it to be significant.

Schools and school systems have the biggest affect on home values and that is not going to change with the new City of Peachtree Corners.

The new cities have been incorporating because they want more local control of how their tax dollars are spent and control over zoning issues. This has been a big issue with North Fulton, I am not familiar with Gwinnett County issues and whether improvements will be noticably different

Cityhood doesn't seem to have impacted values in Sandy Springs or Dunwoody, so I doubt it will for PC.

What lorilove says above is correct.

The cityhood movement is more about local control--especially zoning.

The schools stay the same for the City of Peachtree Corners--and they are decent/good/great overall:

Simpson, Peachtree, Stripling, or Berkeley Lake Elementary

Pinckneyville or Duluth Middle*

Norcross or Duluth High

*I think a very small part of the City of Peachtree Corners may attend Summerour Middle.

since it has such good schools, the forum, the 'hooch' and good location, did PC see the drop in home values that many other areas of Metro Atlanta? Do desirable areas like Peachtree Corners, Johns Creek, Sandy Springs, etc insulated from value drop because of their desirability?
