My husband and I are relocating from Cincinnati to the Atlanta area. He will be working downtown. We would appreciate suggestions for housing in a safe neighborhood (300k - 400k) housing. Preferably less than 1 hour commute or close to Marta station. We have a 2 year old so we will be looking for good schools in the next few years. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you want to be in the city or in the suburbs?

If you would like to be in the city, I would suggest the City of Decatur. City of Decatur, GA It has excellent schools and the commute to downtown Atlanta would be between 15-20 minutes. There are MARTA stations nearby so your husband could also take it downtown. The City of Decatur is often described as where "Berkley meets Mayberry".

I agree. Decatur is a great part of town. What size and type of home most appeals to you? Other than the MARTA station, what types of amenities are important to you?
