The only time my wife and I go into the City of Atlanta proper is to go to some very specific entertainment venues like the Shakespeare Tavern or the Starlight Six Drive-In. Less than once a month on average, I would say.

5 days/week for work. Other than work, my family and I might go to a destination in Atlanta proper 2-3 times/year (zoo, etc.), and will pass through on the way to the airport or when driving to Florida. Not much reason for us to be there otherwise.
