Macy's at Lenox Mall is a flagship store, hence they will have a ton of things that other macy's don't carry

The Macy's @ Lenox is 3 or 4 floors, if I'm not mistaken? Ranks up there with Hearld Square in NYC to me (obviously, I know the one in Herald Square is way bigger)

Guess, we would have to find the square footage reports...
The Macy's in NY is a square block according to the guidebook I have for NY. It is HUGE..I even got lost in it when I visited NY.
The Perimeter store has 3 floors and has the furniture showroom attached.
The Lenox store has 4 floors. I think I spend too much time at the mall, but I love the people watching

My question still isn't answered. If we are counting floors, Town Center has five floors, 2 at the old Rich's and 3 at the original Macy's site.

It could be the largest by square footage because of the furniture showroom, but I have not been out there in years and I have not found any info on that.

I guess we'll have to find out what the square footage of each store is in order to get an accurate assesment. But Lenox would probably have the best Macy's in the area, since it is designated as the 'flagship' of Macy's Southeast region (outside of Florida, which I think is it's own division due to Macy's formerly being Burdines in much of that state, and Burdines had a distinctive retail mix all their own due to it being located in that state).

Not that I have anything to gain in this discussion one way or another, but would think that the answer to the OP, "Which Macy's is biggest?" would be answered by a simple square footage answer.

Now, I agree with you that Lenox is the flagship. It could be the biggest too and it's four floors outrank the five in two locations at Town Center. Don't know how to find a sq foot ranking of the Atlanta stores and don't think I have the energy this evening to go on a google hunt

I'm guessing its still the one at Lenox. According to Wiki, the Macy's Lenox is 433,308 sq ft., the Macy's TC is 238,000 sq ft. I couldn't find the square footage of the of the Macy's furniture store but it appears to have a smaller footprint than the Sears in that mall which is 170,000 sq feet. According the article, they are only using part of the original Macy's (two floors?). Thats the best I can do so there....

As a once avid Macy's lover, Lenox is definitely the biggest and the best. The one's at Town Center still do not add up to the size of the Lenox Macy's.

I must however, point out the terrible downfall that Macy's has experienced over the last few years. It has truly come to the point where I rarely shop there other than housewares because of the inability, ineptness, and general lackluster disposition of the staff. Customer service has gone by the wayside here, only to be supplanted with bargain bins and cost-cutting measures. Just this week it was announced that Macy's will no longer offer complimentary gift wrapping. I yearn for the Rich's of old. I have since moved my shopping and discretionary income to Dillard's and Nordstrom's. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. I refuse to spend my hard-earned money at someplace that doesn't care about me.

Ooo . . . I sure miss Rich's. Thanks for posting about the gift wrapping. I wonder if Belk's still offers it?

Wikipedia is wild, would never thought you could find the square footage of a store there.

However, if my memory serves me right, I would have thought the orignal Macy's the largest of the anchor stores at TC since it was the only one with three floors. An earlier poster said two floors of the original Macy's there are the home store, the third is the men's store and both floors of the original Rich's is Macy's women's store.
