I'm moving from Birmingham to attend graduate school at GSU in the fall. Probably moving sometime in July. I'm a young artist with a girlfriend and two small dogs.

When I visited last week I was told to look at areas east of downtown or southeast even. I have been considering the Virginia Highland area and Inman Park. From the other posts I've read it sounds like maybe I should consider Cabbagetown? Don't know much about the latter if anyone could provide information.

I'd like to find an apartment with hardwood floors in a nice, safe area. Would also like it if it was close to a MARTA train station. My rent budget is pretty small since I'll be a full time student. I'll have a small income and my girlfriend will be working full time but not sure what her income will be yet. So I would like to keep rent at or under $750. But we are only looking for a studio or one bedroom.

So far we have found these potential apartments:

Station Square in Inman Park
Highland Heights
Highland View

Does anyone know anything about these or have any other suggestions?

I had to Google Station Square. It's not in Inman Park and the website states that no pets are allowed.

Highland View is nice. I know some people from here have commented that they like their apartment there.

www.promove.com is also a good and free resource.

Good luck!
