Can some one recommend a good real estate agent for the ATL metro area?

Which area? I suspect agents tend to specialize a little more than that.

I PMd you. Our agent was the best thing about moving to ATL. Finding the right person is really important.

You'll really want to be more specific. Metro Atlanta is a vast area and even though most agents will say that they will be happy to show you whatever area you're interested in, it's really, really in your best interest to find on who actually specializes in that area. There's a huge difference between being able to pull up any listing on the MLS and knowing the neighborhood inventory because you see it every day. It's also a huge advantage to have an agent who knows which are the best and worst streets in a neighborhood and why, who knows what changes are planned in a neighborhood in the near and long term, etc. Finally, when you're interviewing agents, I always suggest you iron out expectations about communication. The vast majority of complaints about agents come from problems with communication. Let the agents you interview know how best to communicate with you (e-mail, phone, text, etc.) and the schedule you prefer to hear from them. If you have difficulty getting in touch with them or getting them to call you back before you actually hire them, consider it a warning that you might have the same problems when they're actually working for you and it could cause serious issues as you search for a home.

Good luck!

Please use DM's to recomment agents. Anything direct in posts would be considered advertising and not allowed. Thank you.
