Can some recommend a good, inexpensive home owners insurance?
We are closing next month and I need one.
Someone recommended Liberty Mutual.

Who is you car insurance with? Most companies will discount the homeowners and auto policies if you buy both from them. We've got Allstate, and their rates are great, IMO.

Are you by chance military or ex-military? If you are, USAA can't be beaten. I love those people like they were kin.

I'm with Bob here. At least to start with. If it's not in your ballpark- inquire with other companies as to "car and home".

You can always change it later after you've closed on the home but if you have time it is nice to get the best in place to start with. You may try a local agent that represents several companies to get several quotes all at once. I don't think Home insurance varies as much as Auto does plus most people pay much much less for home then auto insurance.

Default Alec at Holman and James LLC

Holman and James LLC is where my personal agent is and he provided me with alot of different options for home insurance. They offer alot of different carriers so you can see who offers the best rate. Travelers Insurance turned out to be the best. My agent, Alec's number is (412)323-2300
