After much talk, we booked it this morning.
Hubby is flying out for the weekend to the area to find our home
We have an awesome realtor, and they will be scouring Suwanee and Dacula.
We are making our home list this morning.
Hope they find something.
We close here (South Florida) end of June.
I feel it is safe enough to do this based on the research I have done through you guys the last 6 months, as well as my own.
Hubby will be working in the Gwinnett Medical Center/Lawrenceville area.
So I am thinking these areas will work.
Our price range is still low 200's.

Anyone/everyone, feel free to put your 2 cents in ....
ex. Don't go here, bad traffic....this subdivision is great.... blah blah blah

Thanks everyone!

I like the Suwanee area overall, so long as you'll be working closer to it. Oh, watch out for the alligators, though.

Default Rent Rent Rent

From our Experiance.....

I would Definatly rent first -We Recently Moved here from South Florida due to a Job Transfer. We sold our house in FL quickly but when we arrived here first we rented. We rented from a Private owner and negotiated a Contract that would allow us an out when we bought Locally.

Just like Buying a Car or a house or anything, when you first see it you are looking through Rose colored glasses, and you are not going to notice what is wrong, or what could be better. There is NO WAY you are going to get a feel for a Area with a weekend Visit, Areas we thought we wanted to buy in within the first couple of months living here we realized we didnt want to be there (Schools, Traffic, Neighborhood etc). After about 8 months of renting and Researching, visiting etc, we finally purchased a home, I feel a more educated descision then buying right away.

I am gald we rented first, or we would have made a Mistake we would have to live for a long time, Whats the rush anyway?

I was in the area of the medical center today. There are many nice homes in Suwanee in the low 200's. I'm not that familiar with Dacula. I bought our house without my husband and it worked out well. I saw 12 houses in one day, narrowed it down to 2, then went for a 2nd look and made an offer. If you have any questions about a particular house or neighborhood, feel free to send me a message and I'll try to help. Good luck!
