Yeah. We have to realize that all of metro Atlanta, and maybe even Georgia, are in this together. We've got to stop thinking about rail expansion as being a some-win-others-lose prospect and realize that it's actually a some-win-others-win-more. Yes there may be people displaced by new rail lines, but careful selection of the rights-of-way should minimize that.

Projects I would like to see on the list:

- Cobb County Light Rail from Town Center in Kennesaw to Cumberland
- Light Rail along the top end of 285 from Cumberland to Doraville MARTA Station
- Light Rail from Doraville MARTA Station to Buford or extension of MARTA rail from Doraville to Buford
- Light Rail from Cumberland to Midtown MARTA Arts Center Station with a stop at Atlantic Station
- MARTA rail extended from North Springs to Roswell, Alpharetta, and Cumming
- MARTA rail extended from Hamilton E Holmes to Fulton Industrial and Six Flags?
- MARTA rail line spur from Lindbergh to Emory to Decatur?
- MARTA bus and rail extended into Clayton County (rail extended south from the Airport to Riverdale and Jonesboro? May overlap with Macon Commuter Rail...)
- Commuter Rail to Athens and Macon
- Streetcar on Peachtree including the downtown tourist loop
- Re-designed Georgia 400 interchange at 285 and 85
- Managed lanes on I-75 and I-575 in Cobb/Cherokee Counties, on I-75 from 285 south into Henry County, and on both sides of I-20 outside of 285

I think all of these projects/ideas really spreads the wealth around...

Some great ideas. I'd especially like to see light rail connecting the east and west sides of Atlanta, if not more MARTA development connecting parts of the west side.
