I cant honrstly say I have never seen something like this. Im still in piedmont and the thugs are in full force! I really think Peachtree TV should stick to cult classics and not show recent blockbusters it brings out the WRONG group of people. Why are all these kids fighting anyway? They just faked a technical issue to shut it down......

"Move intown- you can experience everything urban living has to offer".......lol

I dunno....we have movie nights on the green in our development and at our kids' school, and never have problems with thugs fighting on the train platform. I think I'll stay out here......

Never saw a crowd like this before going to Screen on the Green. Given this is one of many events thrown here this year and the first sign of violence, I'm beginning to think the combo of school being out and cheap/blockbuster movie = a lot of people lacking any class/common sense showed up. I saw there were going to be issues just by the huge number of people coming out of Midtown station around 7 when I was coming home last night. Just the volume of people were blocking up cars and the complete lack of extra police presence were making things sketchy.

Maybe when they showed movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, they attracted a different crowd. Either way, my experience at Screen on the Green has been very nice in the past. I hope a few idiots didn't ruin it for everyone. I never noticed a real heavy police/security presence in the past but then again they don't show Michael Bay movies normally so I can't be sure.

I can't stand these damn thugs that ruin our city! I've never seen so many thugs walking around Midtown in my life last night and I was wondering what was going on. WHY DO THEY DO THIS?! Where the hell is the Atlanta and MARTA police? Are they still directing traffic instead of doing nothing? If the Mayor picks Turner as the police chief I am going to be so pissed off.

Mishap, I think you're right about the type of movies. It's unfortunate it has to even be like this.

There is a certain element in Atlanta you really don't want to watch movies with. They insist on talking on their cellphones throughout the movie or yelling at the screen. I avoid Atlantic Station at all costs due to this. Crime around Piedmont Park is actually getting worse lately. A neighbor of mine had a Japanese maple stolen from his front yard, right out of the ground. Pathetic.
