Augusta Recognized On RelocateAmerica's 2011 Annual Top Places To Live Posted: 06/17/2011 11:40 AM RelocateAmerica has released its 14th Annual Top Places to Live where Augusta was one of 3 Georgia cities included in the list. Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver says, "As Augusta continues to receive national recognition for both our strong local economy and our excellent quality of life, being named to Relocate America's list of "Top 100 Places To Live" comes as further affirmation that our city is a great place to call home. As a top ten ranking can be achieved through the input of local citizens, I would encourage our entire community to make the time to go to Relocate America's website and share what you love about our great city to put us over the top!"

RelocateAmerica’s press release is below: Augusta Recognized on RelocateAmerica’s 14th Annual Top Places to Live Report-In the running for Overall Top10.

“We are looking for a strong show of support among local residents, community & business leaders as the Top10 breakout category winners are now determined through a special nomination process…#157; said Steve Nickerson, President of RelocateAmerica, “Community pride is a good indicator of great leadership and a mark of a great place to live, work and play.…#157; The voting for the Top10 Breakout list is new for this year’s list. Its part of a year long initiative to give the local residents and leaders direct input about how their town rates in various breakout categories. Released throughout the upcoming year will be 6 different breakout categories that range from the top areas for education to the top areas for recreation and several other categories of interest to consumers. The first TOP10 breakout list will be determined by input gathered on the website starting on June 15th and running to July 31,2011. The results of the first break out lists will be released on August 2, 2012. Visit 2011 Top 100 Places to live from Relocate America to vote. This year Crime seem worst then 2010. I will like to turn on the tv and see some good news for a change. It seem lime that all the news station want to air nothing but crime and a little good news.

Local media outlets need ratings and good news doesn't provide that... WRDW is knowed sensationalize every crime story they can get their hands.. They usually bring up old crime from last year or previous months to make things look worse... I don't know how WRDW can contiune to say the woman death on Whitney street is an homicide at 11pm... While WJBF switch theirs from homicide to an suspicious death...

This is from the sheriff's website.. They haven't updated the site yet but here's the latest stats... There's less total cases in 2011 compared to 2010..

Since when were we getting Regency Mall back? I heard they was tearing it down to make some regional park.
