In a different neighborhood, new city and new ballpark, will this change be helpful or hurtful?

It's gotta get approved first bro... 2 more 'votes' and a public forum left to go. Then the real works starts in getting all the ducks in a row. It's most likely going to be a slim victory or slim defeat, depending in which side of the debate you're behind.

If it is approved though, I don't see how it won't help the Greenjackets. Hopefully it's a winner for North Augusta, Aiken County and taxpayers as well.

No reason to believe that attendance to games will improve from the hundreds that attend at LakeOlmstedStadium, a very beautiful and adequate stadium the jackets call home. Attendance figures posted MUST include season ticket sales, whether the butts are in the seats or not. Heck, the driving distance between the two sites aint 10 minutes, literally.

And now figure in the NorthAugustaDeptofPublicSafety and the reputation North Augusta has for 'traffic control' and I guarantee attendance will not improve. I predict plainclothes in the area during games too. But hey, what do I know, just a 57 year resident homeboy.
