With the recent improvements to Riverwalk Augusta's tree canopy improving visibility was a start. I think this would be a perfect time to fully rehabilitate the area. It's one of the cities gems but after years of neglect many issues have arisen with it. Broken or missing bricks, unusable fountains for drinking ( not that I would use them but by the looks of them they don't work) , The Japanese hanging garden needs fixing and the railing needs a paint job. I think a skate park or dog park maybe both should be constructed at the old watermark site even if just for temporary purposes until it's sold the old historic depot on the property could be updated to include public restrooms and a welcome center that highlight different features of the city. Any other suggestions?

I agree about fully rehabilitating the area. It would be nice to have it extended but what would really be nice is if the levee was lowered. That would do wonders for the Riverwalk.
