Think Gang Crime is only in the big cities? Think again.
Augusta has quite a gang problem for a city its size.

Anyone trying to tell you there is no gang crime in Augusta doesn't know what they are talking about.

Why is augusta ranked behind macon and savannah in violent crime. Augusta city limits have 100,000 more than macon, and 65,000 more than savannah. Quite a big gang problem but augusta was ranked behind macon in violent crime. How could that happen when augusta city limits has over 100,000 more ppl. Some of these ppl were arrested for simple drug crimes like marijuana. Police arrested anybody who was there no matter if you had a affliation in a gang or not. The good ole boy augusta chronicle at its best. Oh i mean the Evans chronicle im sorry. Just because you want to live your life in fear, dont make exaggerations because you are scared. When you can give facts why if augusta has a big gang problem. It was ranked behind savannah which city limits are smaller. City this small. augusta is the second largest metro in ga by far. It has a 200,000 lead on the next city. This guy always hates on augusta but responds to every thread about augusta. Doesn't even make sense. I think you should go to macon, savannah, columbia, charleston, durham, all midsize cities and tell me what is their gang problem like then. Nobody should live in atlanta then because the more ppl the more crime

I agree. This place sucks. I absolutely hate it here. Its disgusting the way these people walk around the mall and make going to a gas station an uncomfortable situation. The streets around here are always full of litter and garbage. The entire city is a dump. People have nothing better to do than trash a city and make people scared. I've never in my life, lived in a place that has been so disgusting and where people just don't care. Downtown is pathetic. There is so much potential but why try to make it a nice place when its just going to get trashed?? Columbia county is full of snobs that just turn their heads and Richmond county is full of welfare trash that ruins life for everyone else. People are lazy here, dirty and disrespectful. Gangs are rediculous. Find something else to do, get an education, a job, an awareness that no one cares what kind of shoes you're wearing or how "tough" you are. I can't believe that Master's Tournament is here. There are nicer cities to hold the event. Disgusta couldn't be a better name for this city yet no one wants to do anything about it.

Actually MWGAL AND DISGUSTA are the same person. Because nobody who lives in augusta would called it that plus you both sound just alike. You both type the same exact thing. You always mention columbia county especially evans and richmond thats it. Never aiken, mcduffie, or burke. Please get a life why do you post the same nonsense. The facts make your arguement about augusta's crime make no sense. Also that people don't have a job when its the home to ft. gordon, Savannah river site, Medical College of GA.
I see MWGAL joined 1-23-2008. This thread is from 12-13-2007 and look who made it. This thread was no where near the first page on the georgia forum. And somehow MWGAL just magically found this thread today. This thread was probably on page 5 by now.

You live in suburbian atlanta. You don't even live in augusta

YOU CAN TELL MWGAL AND DISUGSTA ARE THE SAME PERSON. IN THE D.C. THREAD YOU SAID YOU ARE FROM ATLANTA AND MOVE TO D.C. The other you said you lived in athens before. Exactly how many places are you claiming you have live in.
ALL YOU DO IS POST PROPAGANDA. You haven't been to augusta either in 20 yrs or never at all.
D.C. Metro or Atlanta?? Or any other places? ( 1 2)

First of all Citydata doesn't allow ppl to have multiple accts... but there are many people who call it Disgusta.. heck the Augusta Chronicle even did a whole series of articles on it. There are a lot of ppl who don't buy all of the rosy BS you post about Augusta.

Yeah, I'm NOT the same person as DISGUSTA. I logged on and posted on the 23rd or whichever evening some local news channel reported a story about a gang bust or a shooting or something in Augusta. I've lived here for a year and while watching the story, was curious about how many shootings there have been in a year so found some stats and this forum. In the year I've lived here, it seems there's been a shooting nearly every month. Where I grew up (Midwest, hence MW) there was one shooting MAYBE every 5 years or so. Yeah, maybe I grew up sheltered but this isn't the first place I've relocated to in the last several years. Its just the first place I'm literally disgusted with.

You know, maybe DISGUSTA (or whoever you compared me to) and I "write alike" because we're (possibly) well educated people with an opinion and an actual clue about grammer or sentence structure... just a presumption.

I mention Columbia County because that's where I live. Its where I have my positive experiences and have gotten to know personally, locals that have the "Columbia County attitude." I've crossed the boarder to Richmond County and have seen that too. I don't mention the other counties because... isn't Columbia and Richmond where Augusta's city limits are?? My disgust is with Augusta. I think Aiken is nice.

My comment, "Get a job" was directed to the ones that dress their children in $50 t-shirts but whip out the food stamp card in the grocery store line. That's irritating. I'd like to keep all of my income, please.

You can lie all you want we know you are the same person. And If you live in augusta like you claim. Why would you say columbia county is augusta's city limits. Richmond county and thats it are augusta city limits. You don't live here or never have if you think columbia county is apart of augusta city limits. Nobody who lives in augusta would call columbia county augusta city limits. That's like saying conyers, riverdale, or lithonia are part of atlanta city limits. And get for real what gang bust happen on the 23rd of january. Please provide the link for a article on the 23rd. Even though i know you can't but please try.

Who buys the child 50 dollar t-shirts. What t-shirt cost 50 dollars i think you mean 3 for 12.99 or something. And you say you grew up in the midwest and there was only a shooting every 5 years. Get for real augusta murder rate was barely 20 for a whole year. And aren't st louis, cleveland, cincinnati, detroit, flint, all midwest cities.

And how well educated are you if you think a grocery store. Sells food and 50 dollar t-shirts in the same store. What grocery store is this that you are talking about. I think you are a big liar.

Dang....alot of trouble trying to find out if they are the same person...Who really cares? Either way, they see "Disgusta" one way and you obviously see it another. Debate whats said, not who said it.

Does anybody notice that barbie doll, mw gal, disgusta, all joined then got on this same thread. When this thread was on page 3 or 5 of the georgia forum. They all make 2 to 3 post in all then they vanished from the site completely. All of them some negative about augusta. Come on disgusta how many times are you going to do this. We know its you. Because you type exactly the same every time.
