It's not like I said that I was happy that some people lost jobs, just that progress was made.

cnd... that was not the intent of my comment... I stated a fact... I know and worked with many of the blue collar folks that are out a job.

The economy is really tough. I know a young lady who just got laid off from Sitel. They are cutting hundreds of jobs there. My next door neighbor worked at P&G for over 20 years and was just laid off since the plant is closing. Most of the jobs seem to be low paying retail or restaurant work. Fine if you are a college student or high school kid wanting to earn money during summer break but hard to raise a family on. I think it is bad all over the state though not just here. I keep hearing that the Cyber Command will bring thousands of jobs to the area and that is great but I wonder how many will go to locals who are out of work?

No one is forgetting the fact that people have lost jobs. However if a post is made about jobs coming to the area there doesn't need to be a reminder that hey but we lost x amount of jobs here ESPECIALLY when there was already a post made about it which usually there is. You want someone to point out a negative every time something positive is said and if they don't you call it Boosterism.

It'll never work because the chief won't set foot in this thread. But you know he's reading it...

Has anyone seen the Whole Augusta page on Facebook? It sounds remarkably similar to someone who posts on here.
