I-520 should be 6 lanes plus the 4 C/D lanes from I-20 to Wheeler Rd, 8 lanes to Gordon Hwy and 6 lanes to the Savannah River/Palmetto Pkwy.

This would help tremendously especially with the infusion of potentially tens of thousands of new residents over the next decade.
I really couldn't agree with you more! That would tremendously ease the flow and keep us ahead of the game for the next 30 years. I found this project on the GDOT website, and I think it's discussing the widening of Interstate 20 from McDuffie county line to Exit 194. Here's the link: Project Search
Of course, it really won't begin for another 15 years, after we get thousands of new people in the area.

The problem here with I20 is at the state line, all of the bridges need more room. This is a terrible oversight in original design and that is 50 YEARS AGO !
