I like augusta and the city is definitely growing for the better. Downtown is going through a uplift like no other. But the booster's from greenville do need to calm down. I agree that the people on this forum want to hear about augusta and not a city in south carolina.

I have been hearing about this supposed rennaissance of downtown for the last 25 years and the reality never lives up to the hype. Augusta gets its first condo project in downtown in over 17 years and to hear the boosters on hear you'd think the city was the next South Beach. Never mind that a smaller city, Athens has had several downtown condo projects in the last several years. Downtown Augusta has just a handful of pedestrian restaurants..Yes a few new places have opened in the last few years, but about an equal number of places have closed too.. Athens has more restaurants in a just a few blocks in downtown than Augusta has in its entire downtown.

The city and the burbs of Augusta are booming with new construction. There's construction all over the metro area.

Believe me,I know exactly how you feel, but let them have there say, cause inteligent people looking to relocate here and seek to be informed, will look from several sources for all the information they can get and not just from these forums on here.Another thing, people who troll, and flame other members in this and other forums want nothing else but someone to satify there need for an argument because they have nothing better else to do.Again, let them say what they will, they make themselves and there city look bad and smart people will see through it and get at the truth.Have a blessed day.
