I live in oconee county. And used augusta's airport about a week ago. Its a nice airport and very convient. Why wait behind long lines in atlanta's airport. Augusta just got through with a multi-million dollar rennovation. By the same company that did hartsfield in atlanta.

Yeah but with only 2 choices of airlines.. there's not much competition. There are no direct fights to cities other than Atlanta and Charlotte. The main problem with using the Augusta airport and other smaller airports is the limited flight schedule and fares tend to be significantly more (not always but usually) because of the lack of competition. But I agree.. I do like the much quicker check and security procedures.. you just breeze right through.. but don't get to the airport too early, because there's not much to occupy your time. It doesn't have all of the shopsand restaurants like Hartsfield.
