I didnt say Greenville metro wasnt bigger Augusta metro. Im saying the city population is not the subject the metro is. As long as the metro grow the city of Augusta will grow, not in population but stuff. Columbia County, Aiken County and Burke County have been growing while the city of Augusta has been losing. Now that Augusta is starting to increase population, things may start rolling. I was using Greenville as an example of small city pop. but huge metro pop. Btw, Augusta got things Greenville dont have so I dont know why you starting the city bashing already. Congrats to Greenville for reaching 60,000.

As long as Greenville is the epicenter of a growing region as the upstate is, its city limits are really irrelevant as city limit lines are more political than anything. I apologize for misreading your post. We want get into the amenties things because we know whats up on that front. I for one am actually familiar with both cities and have spent time in both.

Augusta has a big upside. Plenty of land for new residents. How many metro's of 535,000 have six counties. Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, Burke, Edgefield, and Mcduffie.

Got to admit that Augusta metro is going to get 600000 by 2015, right. Greenville downtown may be alot better but eating and shopping Augusta is a tough one to beat.

Yes it does. It depends some on the size of the county. I was actually born in Edgefield.

It should reach that by then I would think. Greenville is a lot more than downtown, have you ever been here? Our shopping and restaurants are top notch! Things like Costco, Ruth's Chris, Whole Foods, just to name a few because I don't have time.

I lived in Spartanburg for a little while. I know Greenville is not just downtown guy. Augusta is getting a Costco and probably a Whole Foods and that not wishful thinking. How a Famous Daves or Raising Cane?

Never heard of them Mike, but not having doesn't hurt Greenville because there are other amenities I wouldn't give away for more restaurants. And S-burg and Greenville are different animals.

I only went to shop at the mall, which is very nice. Im surprise that never heard of famous Daves BBQ, next time you are in Augusta hit up Washington Rd.
