The bid date for the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant(not to be confused with Wild Wing Cafe) is set for April 6, 2011... Click on view drawings to see the layout of the restaurant. The restaurant is located in West Augusta at 120 Robert C Daniel Pkwy(btw Best Buy and the old BP gas station) and includes a patio... Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt (first location in GA but now open in Alpharetta too) and Jimmy John's opened at the Augusta Exchange in the last few months....

The construction on South Belair Rd in Martinez next to the Food Lion shopping center is another Zaxbys restaurant... It's located a few miles away from the #1 Zaxbys in the Augusta market.. The Zaxbys located on Jimmie Dyess Pkwy in Southwest Augusta.....

Five O'Clock Bistro located in Summerville off Central Avenue(Kings Way) should finally be open for business.. The website isn't working yet, but they do have a facebook....

Whoever the operator of the area Zaxbys is in our area is making a killing. They are also taking over the old KFC on columbia road. Glad that building wont become an eyesore.

On an unrelated note it will be interesting to see which home improvement chain will make the leap into the Grovetown Gateway area. WAYYYYYY to many rooftops in that area for there not to be one. 2 years?

Usually for down town growth it has to be pedistrian friendly. Small quaint, shops, resturants, pubs, and area's to sit out side, walk, window shop and socialize is what will generate traffic to it. Estblishing a certalize location that people identify with as "downtown" is critical. Small sit around, conversations spots encourages people to come, linger, socialize, and buy..over and over. Look at some of the most successful small urban cities. Look how their streets are set up and have strategically benches, or plots of grass, street lights, or advertisements are placed. Keep your LArge faceless banks, commercial chains, and parking structures. Under ground parking or buildings should be left to the far corners as to encourage pedestrian walking/mingling/ and browsing.

I think I was mistaken in my earlier post.. The construction is probably the Bojangles and the Zaxby's is going to Columbia road...

The old KFC on Wrightsboro rd needs to be renovated as well.. A Raceway gas station is supposed to be built btw the KFC and Kangaroo gas station....

Looks like the next tenant for the Grovetown Gateway just put their sign up. Besides the Arbys, it looks like the the furniture store that Nort mentioned is called Furnish 123. 1 Atlanta location and 2 more coming in the state. Im glad its something new!
