Legends Club event center opens for full-service operations

A corporate event and wedding venue is open in National Hills shopping center. Legends Club, a 10,000-square-foot event center, was a corporate hospitality venue during the Masters Tournament and celebrated the grand opening of its full-service operations Thursday, according to President Steve Briggs. The business, at 2701 Washington Road, specializes in corporate functions, weddings and trade shows. It employs eight full-time staffers and contracts with freelance bartenders and servers for events, Briggs said. The space features a ballroom that can hold up to 500 people, a mezzanine with capacity for 150 and two patios. The ballroom can be divided into two rooms for separate events. “We can have three functions at the same time that will go off without a hitch and not interfere with each other,” Briggs said. Legends Club has booked weddings and corporate events for most Saturdays through June, he said.

Just had the opportunity to eat at About Thyme in North Augusta near the 13th street bridge. I am VERY slective about Lasagna and man they nailed it. Not sloppy with sweet sauce at all. It had just a the right amount of browning to the top. The owner was a sweetheart too. Going back ASAP.

EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS STORE

The Ciuncilli family is now covering South Augusta to go with their stores in Evans and Aiken. The state of the art store is now open for business in the Colony Plaza, which has been completely remodeled. The store features a flat screen menu board and a refrigerated like bakery case so customers can “grab n go” individual dipped fruits. A different family member will manage each store and Vanessa Ciuncilli is getting some national attention. Mrs. Ciuncilli is one of three franchisees featured in a National Edible Arrangements commercial. She was given an all expenses paid trip to Toronto for filming and is also featured on Edible Arrangements® Fruit Baskets & Bouquets, Chocolate Strawberries

KJ Market is coming to Grovetown, and should break ground next month. The grocery store opened in the city limits of Hephzibah earlier this year. I think the location is somewhere off Lewiston rd/Horizon South Pkwy.

TBonz opening new steakhouse in Evans

TBonz will open its first restaurant in Columbia County next week. The steakhouse, well-established in Richmond County, will open its new restaurant Tuesday on North Belair Road. TBonz owner Tom Jastrom said a lot of factors led to opening the restaurant just eight miles down Washington Road from the Augusta TBonz. “The growth in Columbia County certainly had a lot to do with it,” he said. “And this is the kind of place that seems to fit in Columbia County.”
TBonz will be open from 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 3 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
