Aw, that's sad to hear that Body Central closed. They actually had some very affordable and cute clothes. 579 did as well and Wet Seal had some good deals at times. I wonder what will go in those spots now?

The Augusta Chronicle article seems to be missing some other pieces of information. The Augusta Mall within the past month has had six store closings and two more closings coming soon. The store closings include: Stride Rite, P.S. by Aeropostale, Wet Seal, Body Central, 5-7-9, Verizon, Radio Shack (expected), and another store that cannot be named yet. This brings the vacant spots to a total of twelve, which is means the mall is 91% occupied.

Augguy4111, do you know what retailers are rumored to be looking at the mall? Augusta Mall is still a healthy mall and I seriously doubt the mall will decline.

Yes, if anything, the mall is getting better. Do you have any information on the rumored stores? Names?

why are all these stores closing? I thought coach was doing well at the mall. What is the mall management doing to keep retailers and bring new ones to the market.
