It would seem like folly for any business to locate within a quarter mile radius of the ANGC gates at this point as eventuallly all of that land will be gobbled up by the ANGC..

True that.. just sit on it and wait for the big payday... but makes absolutely no since to build anything new in that area whn it will just get bought and torn down by The ANGC. I would not be surprised if their reach extended to a half mile radius.

I am amazed it has taken this long for Chipotle to come to Augusta. I understand Aiken has already gotten a Chipotle. Interesting they would locate in Aiken first. However I think Chipotle may find they will face stiff competition from local chain "Diablo's" which has been establish in Augusta and has a loyal customer base.. and their concept is very similar to Chipotle. That would be ironic considering that the impetus for creating Diablo's was because there was no Chipotle in Augusta so the owners created their own version locally. Maybe if Chipotle had of come into the Augusta market much sooner they could have potentially staved off the creation of a potential national competitor.

I don't find that to be true AT ALL. Visit Diablo's during a shift change at the hospital. Lunch and dinner the place is always hopping. Yes, Chipotle stays fairly busy, but that's because it's on the south side with most everything else. Another Diablo's on the south side would almost certainly keep up with, if not outpace, Chipotle.
