The building at 1120 Jones street is being renovated into 8 new apartments...

Unless the construction is related towards the building, then you might be talking about some other type of construction....

13 st and jones there some land has being clear.

Public input sought for master plan Posted

Clemson University will develop a comprehensive master plan for the Aiken County Parks, Recreation and Tourism department and public input is needed.

The master plan will “guide the direction, growth and development” of the department over the next seven to 10 years, according to a news release.

The public input session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 23 at Town Creek Baptist Church, 250 Town Creek Road in Aiken. Attendees will be asked for input on the Aiken County Parks, Recreation and Tourism department and how it can use its resources to improve the quality of life in Aiken County.

Augusta National plans major addition to clubhouse

Bob Austin with Augusta Planning and Development said the plan shows a large, two-level structure that will be built, with the lower level sitting below grade. “Looks like they are doing some major renovations to the existing clubhouse,” Austin said after reviewing the plans, which were filed in May.

I am interested in what they will do with all the property across the street once the berckmans rd realignment is complete. Any word as to what will become of the big tree shopping center space

I think they going to add more parking in that area.

MUSIC THEATRE COMPANY MOVES NEAR PUTT PUTT

Editor’s Note: Mickey will be on the radio program to explain more next Friday,including his grand opening. Mickey Lubeck is the director of Musical Theatre Workshops,LLC here in Martinez. He said they have been in business for a while,but just recently moved into their new home at 3817 Martinez Blvd…down from Putt Putt. His studio offers acting classes for children ages 5 through high school. They also offer private and group voice lessons and non-competitive dance classes. They have some adult classes as well. They produce 3 childrens musicals every year. The fall musicals for the past 2 years have been Disney Jr versions of Aladdin and Mulan. This December they are producing The Little Mermaid. They will also be having an Grand Opening,Open House at the studio on Saturday,Dec 1st from 11am-7pm with registration and demonstrations throughout the day.
