Both are very good. I have only ordered sushi to go from Cho. Mizu has phenomenal views though.

Thanks for the info!! Now I'm torn. I started to lean more towards Bar Chi because my husband likes the warehouse district. (I think that's where Bar Chi is located, if I'm not mistaken). Decisions, decisions!!!

Haven't ever eaten at those places, must be new. However, it's common knowledge that there are only 2 truly great Sushi places in Austin. Mushashino and Uchi. Uchiko, opened by the same chef as as Uchi, is probably pretty good also.

Uchi is considered one of the best sushi places in the country. The place pops up on best lists in the Wall Street Journal. If you have the cash it's a good place to try.

Yes, I've been to all three of those places. I'm just trying to find a new spot to take my husband for his birthday. I'm a daughter of two sushi self -proclaimed sushi connoisseurs from Japan LOL, so I'm familiar with the sushi restaurants. I'm hoping someone can give me input on those three specific places I mentioned. Since I'm leaning towards Bar Chi, I'm hoping someone can give me feedback on it.

Yes, I like Uchi...although it's more of a Japanese izayaka style restaurant, the food and the service is superb. We go there often when my mother visits from Japan. I prefer more traditional style sushi I guess because that's what I grew up on, but I definitely appreciate the modern/fusion style sushi. There's still a lot on the Uchi menu that I haven't tried.
